Overview

We’re looking for a Full Stack .NET Developer to join our data engineering team at WellDatabase. You’ll help build powerful tools that structure and deliver oil and gas data at scale. From backend services to data integration and front-end features, you’ll contribute to the full product lifecycle—writing clean, efficient code and turning complex data into intuitive user experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications and APIs using .NET Core and C#
  • Build intuitive, performant front-end components with modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Vue)
  • Develop and maintain microservices and distributed systems supporting core platform features
  • Write clean, testable code and participate in code reviews and continuous improvement processes
  • Work with Docker and Kubernetes to containerize and orchestrate services in staging and production environments
  • Integrate and support messaging systems like RabbitMQ for decoupled, event-driven communication
  • Collaborate with the product and design teams to implement features that improve the user experience
  • Ensure application performance, reliability, and observability through proactive monitoring and logging
  • Contribute to DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment automation

Skills & Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience working in .NET Core and C#
  • Solid understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP)
  • Strong SQL skills and experience with complex queries, stored procedures, and data models
  • Familiarity with ETL processes and data integration best practices
  • Experience developing web-based applications and RESTful APIs
  • Experience working in agile, collaborative, and fast-paced development environments
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and comfortable owning features from spec to deployment

Preferred Experience

  • Background working with or supporting energy industry software or regulatory datasets
  • Experience contributing to high-traffic SaaS platforms or complex enterprise applications
  • Familiarity with event-driven architectures or distributed systems at scale
  • Exposure to observability tools (e.g., Grafana, Prometheus, ELK stack)
  • Contributions to internal tooling, admin dashboards, or customer-facing features that improve operational workflows
  • A strong interest in data usability, UI/UX collaboration, or continuous product improvement
